One out of every seven people in the National Capital Region (NCR) is an Asian Canadian. Asian Canadian is the largest visible minority group. The ethnic origins of the Asian Canadians trace back to more than 35 Asian countries. The great majority of the Asian Canadians in the National Capital Region are of Chinese, Lebanese, East Indian, Filipino, or Vietnamese descent.
