Turquoise Folk Dance Group of Ottawa
Each region in Turkey has its own unique dance styles and rhythms, and each dance has its own music, steps and costumes. Dancers are performed in groups of couples, by men alone or by women alone, and are a highlight of fesivals , weddings, cremonies and seasonal holidays. Each dnace expresses a different theme, subh as courage, and communicates stories adn tradkitions from one generation to the next.
