Taiwanese Quartets (Judy Hung, Lambert Chen, Donnie Deacon and Timothy McCoy)
Judy Hung is a violinist with the Orchestre de Chambre de Montréal, and is the Music Director/Organist at Valois United Church. She teaches more than 50 students at her Montréal studios, and serves as Suzuki Violin Instructor and Collaborative Pianist at McGill University and the Conservatory of Music. She has a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin Performance from Louisiana State University, and Master’s degrees in Violin, Piano and Early Music Performance.
Lambert Chen was born in Taiwan, started playing viola at age 11. He finished his post-doctoral studies at McGill University in Montréal, where he studied with André Roy, and is an award-winning performer on both the violin and viola. He has won numerous awards, including the Golden Violin: an award that has been called the Stanley Cup of classical music. Chen has been associate principal violist of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra since 2009.
