Peter Hum, piano and Nathan Cepelinski, saxophone
Peter Hum,who is Ottawa Citizen newspaper's assistant editor of arts and culture, accompnaied by the twenty-one years old jazz musician, Nathan Cepelinski. Peter Hum played two selections from his composition.
1. A boy's Journey is a contemporary waltz written by Peter Hum in 2005, in memory of his late father, Joe G, Hum. Joe Hum was born in Ottawa in 1922, but as a young boy made the jurney from Ottawa by ship and train to his father's villlage in Guangdong Province, China, where he resided fo ra decade. He then made the same journey back to Ottawa as teenager.
2.New Toy is a lighthearted song composed by Peter Hum for his son, Pascal.
